Speaking Topics

If you have an event for which you need a speaker to address a business topic, please refer to the topics below.

Bringing Your Strategy to Life:  An approach for enhancing employee effectiveness
In an era when it is estimated that between 17% and 30% of employees are engaged at any one time in their work, it's important to focus significant attention on how to increase employee alignment with the direction you would like to go.  This presentation discusses what people need in order to be effective in the workplace, presents a unique model for describing what your organization stands for, and discusses natural filters people use to orient themselves to what is happening within their company.

What Does Your Company Stand For?  Building a sustainable business strategy
Most of us struggle at times with aligning all of the diverse departments within our organization so that we can strategically and effectively deliver our brand experience.  By using current knowledge of how people learn and behave, Dialect helps companies build bridges between employees, between departments, and with customers.  By identifying the strengths within your organization, this seminar can help you begin to develop strategies for whole-company alignment, communication, and growth.

This seminar will help you assess how sustainable your current business strategy is by looking at the relationship between the following:

•the way you describe the value you offer your customers;
•how well your employees understand this value;
•the tools and processes that help you deliver your value; and
•your rapidly changing marketplace.

What Does Your Company Stand For?  Building your corporate brand
This presentation helps organizations look at the degree of alignment their vision, culture, and processes have to the value promised to their stakeholders and the organizations' abilities to deliver the promised experience.

Using a proprietary brand model, this seminar emphasizes the need to examine the priority an organization places on certain elements of the brand.  In addition, there is a discussion of how an organization makes decisions about its corporate brand strategy.

Cognitive Diversity: A different way of looking at our differences
There is a lot of discussion of diversity within our organizations that revolves around race, ethnicity, and gender. However, there is little, if any, emphasis on diversity of thinking styles. Therefore, we don’t ask the following questions:

•How do our different ways of thinking relate to what we care about in the workplace?
•How does that affect our motivation and effectiveness?

This seminar addresses natural filters we each have that affect our ability to understand organizational identity , strategy, goals, and each other.  We will discuss what people need in order to be effective in the workplace, taking into account these natural filters people use to orient themselves to what is happening within their company.

Attendees will leave the seminar with practical tips for how to communicate differently with groups they manage on order to maximize understanding and motivation.

Learning Objectives:

•Better understanding of different thinking styles as they relate to common organizational dynamics.
•Practical communication principles for the different cognitive filters.
